Season of Creation

Christians around the world are celebrating the month of September as a Season of Creation, a time to celebrate the beauty and grace of God's creation and to recommit ourselves to care for it. As people created by God, along with the animals, plants, water, air, and soil, we have a unique part to play in making sure we heal the damage done to all that God has made on this Earth.

The theme for this year's Season of Creation is "Living Water." The gift of water is the lifeblood of all that lives. We all start out by growing in the waters of our mother's womb, and our life is sustained by the water in our bodies and the waters all around us. As we pray together this month, we will be giving thanks for God's gift of water, reflecting on the symbolism of water in our Christian lives, and committing ourselves to caring for water and all of God's creation that depends on it.

Peace,

Pastor Dan
