A Church for Progressive Thinking People. We believe that God made each one of us to be exactly how he created us. We believe that this world causes us to conform and “fit in”, but we know that being like everyone else in order to fit in, means throwing away the one thing that makes us special in this world.* What our soul craves is to be loved and to belong, just as we are.

We Pilgrims are a bunch of weird and wonderful people who have become a family because we know, accept and love each other, just as we are; just as God intended us to be, with all our foibles and our extreme humaness. We are a family that follows the example of Jesus Christ; a family that has fun; a family that loves our community, gives to the less fortunate and fights for social justice. Come join us, just as you are, and make us the family that grows. Come join a movement that rejects a culture of deviciveness and hate and embraces and personifies love and unity.

Our Mission

Inspired by Christ, we strive to create a reconciling community where all are welcome to seek, worship, and serve as individuals interwoven by God's love. Our goal of spiritual wholeness encourages: Open dialogue, Mutual respect, Spiritual quest.

  • The concept of “fitting in” being the opposite of “belonging” comes from a Ted talk by Brené Brown. The sentence marked is a paraphrase of a quote by John Elder Robison on the Moth podcast.
